Benson's 4th quarter report

4TH (LAST) QUARTER GOSPEL PROGRESS REPORT/REVIEW OF MAJOR EVENTS IN THE GOSPEL FIELD IN YEAR 2010.
4TH QUARTER FIELD REPORTS, OCTOBER – DECEMBER 2010.

On the 20th – 23rd, October, I was at three days gospel meeting by a local congregation in the state. It was a spiritual revival moment to the Christians who attended mostly the host congregation. There was intensive evangelism for the three days both publicly and house to house. However, no immediate baptism.

On the 16th November, I hosted one day seminar for preachers only. It was an orientation seminar for weak and young preachers to beware of the evil wind of pentecostism blowing across local churches of Christ.

On the 17th December, I was at the funeral of one of the earliest faithful, sound and powerful gospel preacher in Nigeria. His name is Rufus Akataobi. He was converted and became preacher in the 50s when the gospel newly came into Nigeria. In 1971.

REVIEW OF MAJOR GOSPEL EVENTS IN 2010
I attended five (5) Gospel meetings, with only one Baptism.
Two were baptized into my local congregation here in Amawbia.

I preached at the Gospel Seminars in March and September. The Seminars deliberated on some issues and some Pentecostal methods of worship finding its ugly feet into Church of Christ. The third Seminar was the one I hosted in November.

In June a new congregation started at the new place. Some old members and a congregation beared the cost of the establishment of the new congregation. the new church is faithfully growing both physical and spiritual.

MY GOSPEL PLAN NEXT YEAR 2011
Brethren may I informed you I have much interest to relocate to a new gospel field next year. My interest in this gospel work is to work in a virgin area and start a congregation or work with a small congregation and by God’s grace bring it up. I started with three brethren in Amawbia in 1977. Church of Christ Amawbia is today one of the congregations famous in Anambra State. Over thirty (30) congregations in Anambra State today, I was in the fore front of their establishment. God bears me witness.

I hope your support will be of immense help to me in the new field next year. About the mega phone it’s now bad. Sister Dorris bought it for me many years ago. Please may you help me to replace it. The cost has risen up to 500dollars. I hope individual brethren I earlier pleaded will assist me to replace this mega phone for my mobile evangelism.

Yours In His Services

October Report for Ebere Ezurike

OCTOBER REPORT

Relative peace has return to Aba area of Abia State Nigeria. The presence of Nigerian Soldiers is seen in most parts of the town. Thou from time to time the kidnapers do carryout their activities mostly in the rural areas.

We went for evangelism/lectureship at the village called Obegu. It was a very interested outing in a more relaxed atmosphere, brethren came in their numbers to preach and learn the word of God.

My teaching program for our congregation and the Umuobaghi congregation remain  the same. Our congregation is enjoying good fellowship. The  men, the women, the youth and the children are all being taken care of with the life changing word of God.

My wife and kids that ran to my village (Umueze 1, Ehime Mbano Imo State) during the time of crisis here last September returned with the good news of the progress being made on the church building. We remain grateful to you the American Christians who are helping us in this project.

The preachers on training (eleven of them) who went for practical field work have returned. God blessed their outing with then baptisms and eight restorations. I am glad to be part of this work.

The raining season is ending, and brethren have planed many activities to round up this year, I have so many assignments in lectureships, seminars, burials, and evangelism.

Continue to prayer for us so that full peace and order will return to our community and our State (Abia State).

I remain grateful to you for your support.

Ever yours in Him
